Submission Guidelines Print E-mail

Welcome to our submissions guidelines, where you’ll find all the information you need to submit your manuscript and get our review of your material under way. We can accept manuscripts electronically or, depending on the service, in hard copy, and we have several convenient payment options.

Format Requirements

  • Double line-spacing
  • 12-point font size
  • Courier, Times New Roman, or Arial font
  • Default margin settings, or a minimum of 1.25"
  • Page numbers included, particularly for book-length works
  • .doc, .wps, .wpd, or .rtf file format
  • Submitted as electronic attachment rather than on a storage device
  • Submitted as a single document rather than multiple chapters or chunks
  • No binding for hard copies

Please note that documents submitted which do not follow these guidelines will be subject to a formatting fee of up to $50.

We know many authors feel strongly about the software and formats with which they like to work, but the above preferences are standard in the publishing industry. By providing your manuscript in this format you’re not only saving time for the TED editors and staff (time better spent on the content of your manuscript), you’re moving one step closer to having a publication-ready document.
