Nonfiction Services Menu | Fiction Services Menu | Screenplays & Adaptations We offer three levels of service of “hands-on” editing services where specific changes and corrections are made into the manuscript or document. These services generally come last in the development process, when the manuscript is ready for submission, publication, review consideration, or typesetting.
OverviewProofreading is our most affordable and basic of these services, providing correction only. There are no changes made or suggestions relating to the wording itself, just edits to fix grammar, spelling, and typographical errors. It's a vital last step for preparing for publication and often advisable before submission to agents and publishers. It won't elevate poor writing, but it will make it correct. What To ExpectAll line-by-line editing services are done electronically using Microsoft Word’s Track Changes feature which allows authors to accept, modify, or reject all our editors’ changes. We provide both clean as-edited copy and also a compared version that shows exactly what was changed. PricingProofreading: Editing for typographical and mechanical errors, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Standard rate of $.008 per word for longer works. (Resulting in a fee of about $2.00 per double spaced page with default margins and a 12-point font.)
