In order to sell more books, you need to raise more awareness. Publicity is the branch of marketing that encompasses "free" media, including traditional and online media, as well as word-of-mouth outreach.

Book Seeding

In a world that's crowded with advertising, word-of-mouth is still one of the most effective ways to sell a product. Readers trust the opinions of other readers. Book seeding is the process of getting books in front of passionate readers who will share their experience with others, and build a "buzz" about your book.

Pre-release: We reach out to passionate readers, who will provide early reviews on sites like Goodreads and Amazon. We also send advance/early copies to targeted influencers who have significant audiences of your targeted readers (bloggers, speakers, leaders, etc.) As an optional service for self-published titles, we can send advance/early review copies to industry influencers, including Kirkus Reviews and Publisher's Weekly (additional costs will apply).

Post-release: If your book is already available for sale, we will seed copies to solicit more online and print reviews via blog giveaways, interviews, and articles by individuals and organizations that have audiences of your targeted readers.

Media Publicity

Traditional media publicity reaches wide audiences of people, spreading awareness of your book. We can help by sending your press release and/or press kit to targeted media (local, subject specific, and audience appropriate) and via online wire services that reach readers and improve search engine awareness.

TED also subscribes to several resources that allow us to comb through journalists' queries on a daily basis, looking for stories that fit with you and your topic. We have a very high success rate in scoring print and online media for our clients through responding to these queries.
