Preferred Payment Methods Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, personal and bank checks, and money orders. General Billing Procedures Once you have submitted your manuscript or screenplay, we will assign and schedule your job, then send you an electronic invoice via e-mail within no more than one business day. Upon receipt of your payment or deposit (as outlined below), the project will become active, the manuscript will be delivered to your editor, and work can begin.
You’ll find a secure direct payment link as pictured above embedded in the cover note for your invoice which can be used to pay the invoice directly online via credit or debit card. You are also welcome to use one of the alternate payment methods listed above or to call us with your credit card information rather than entering it online. Manuscript ServicesPlease Note: For all services billed by the page we use an “adjusted” page count which is calculated by dividing the total word count by 250 (250 words per page being the average for manuscripts with the standard margins, double-spaced, with a 12-point font). This is to level the playing field when it comes to font, formatting and other things that affect pagination and make sure we're billing things consistently across the board. Manuscript Evaluations, Critiques, and Sample Edits: Payable entirely in advance at time of submission. Manuscript Consultation: The reading fee portion is paid in advance, along with a deposit for approximate expected time on feedback. In the event that the work exceeds that initial deposit or is ongoing, we will run a tab for you and either send you an invoice or process a debit to card on file for you, whichever you prefer. Ongoing consultation is tracked by the editors and reported for billing every two weeks. Manuscript Annotation: Payable entirely in advance at time of submission.
