What to Expect

Essentially a task memo (via editorial memorandum or comments in the manuscript itself) addressing how well an author has succeeded with a revision and outlining what still needs to be accomplished, potential for further improvement, etc. This gives us the opportunity to revisit any issues that haven’t been satisfactorily resolved and to explore any new opportunities for improvement or ways to set the bar higher based on what’s been done in the course of the revision. If a book is ready for and in need of line or copy editing, we can provide a quote.

Pricing

For manuscripts greater than 50,000 words, the fee for the Re-read Report is $.008 per word, with a clerical charge of $.10 per page (double-spaced, 12 pt. type, 1.25” margins) for printing, if needed. For shorter works, please see the scale below.
