What They're Saying About the Fiction Writing Series
"Reading the narration in the e-books was like listening to a good friend share his or her wisdom about 'the craft' while we sipped mocha coffees together at the local cafe; the writing style was relaxed, personal and lively, while the content gave me extremely useful insights and guidance about my own writing. The combination of practicality, including the easy to understand lessons and exercises, and personal attention make this e-course a wonderful resource."
~ Creative Writing Student at Harvard Extension School, Rebecca Woodward, PhD
"If these e-books had been around in the seventies I would’ve saved thirty years of frustration and countless dollars spent on the never-ending learning curve of the writing business. I’ve been on this curve so long I’ve got a terminal case of whiplash. Don’t kid yourself—it’s a ruthless business, and if you think you’ll get your work published without rejections and obstacles blocking your path at every turn, give me a call. I’ve got some ocean-front property in New Mexico I’ll let go for a good price.
I’ve been scammed by the likes of Edit Ink. I’ve fallen for every get-published-now sales pitch known to man—because I didn’t surround myself with a team who knew what the hell they were doing. I’ve done that now. The folks at The Editorial Department helped me see the light when they critiqued my novel. They’ve been around forever (and no, they’re not paying me for saying these things).
I know two of the three instructors who’ve prepared the materials. I don’t have to tell you about Renni Browne, she’s a legend. Peter Gelfan critiqued my manuscript, I did some incredibly hard work, and the result is that I finally have a novel I and the best writer I know think is publishable. I’m sending it back to Peter for another critique.
The greatest thing about this e-tutorial is that you get a chance to have a one-on-one telephone conference with your instructor. Three times, if you choose it to go that route, once for each e-book in the e-tutorial. That’s unheard of.
May our novels soon be clashing in the bookstores. Mine’s called I Ain’t No Hero."
~ Soon-to-be-published author, Gary Ray
"The talented editors at The Editorial Department have teamed up to produce a fiction writing series that can be used as an e-course. In nine lessons, they cover the essentials of characterization, structure, plot, scene construction, style, and dialogue—all the elements of craft necessary for publication. The e-books by themselves are valuable, but combined with the consultations with the developers of the e-books, it’s a fabulous opportunity to jump-start your work. Highly recommended!"
