$35 Critique PDF Print E-mail

The first few pages of a manuscript generally determine whether a literary agent, acquisitions editor, or casual bookstore browser wants to keep reading. Whether you’re a prospective client wanting to test the waters with one of our editors for a nominal fee before hiring us or someone who is simply looking for a little candid and objective feedback from an experienced professional editor, our introductory critique may be the answer.

For a fee of $35, we’ll read your first ten pages (double-spaced, 12 point type) and tell you (via editorial memorandum) what we see is working, what’s not, and what you can do to make your opening as captivating as possible.

Please note that this service is available only to writers with a full-length fiction or nonfiction manuscript. Anyone wishing to take advantage of this offer can send ten double-spaced pages and the requested contact information using our secure submission interface below.

Once you have created and saved a document containing your first ten pages of manuscript text, click the BROWSE button directly below to locate the file on your hard drive. Then click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of this page to send us the file and your contact information. You will receive immediate confirmation that your upload was successful, followed shortly by an electronic invoice for the critique. Once paid, you can expect your critique back within a week.

Questions? Please don't hesitate to e-mail us or call us at (520) 546-9992.
