Florida-based writer Dora Machado had the nice distinction of being the first fiction author ever to be published by Mermaid Press. The second book in the series, Stonewiser: The Call of the Stone, is scheduled for June, 2009 release.

The early reviews of the first have been very encouraging and with a sequel in the works, the future looks bright for this talented author and her adult fantasy Stonewiser series.  TED editor Peter Gelfan loved working on the book with Dora. “Dora has a prolific and original imagination and is merciless in putting her characters through hell to squeeze the best possible story from them.”
