Creating a marketing plan is a great first step, but what if you want help implementing it? Marketing is a long-term project, and an author doesn't have to go it alone. The Editorial Department pairs authors with book marketing experts, who teach, provide ideas and resources, answer questions, monitor results, and provide encouragement. Each mentoring package is targeted to an author's specific needs. We can work specifically on a particular part of your campaign (i.e. engaging in social media, or reaching out to potential influencers), or take a more general approach. Mentoring packages require a minimum commitment of eight weeks, and can be renewed if the author chooses. Support includes: One hour phone meetings, every other week (4 total for an 8-week plan), led by the mentor, with specific coaching topics based on the goals established. Sample subjects may include social media strategies, planning a contest or giveaway, optimizing a website, planning an event or book signing, developing a newsletter editorial calendar, etc. One hour of phone consultation on "off" weeks (4 hours total for an 8-week plan) to answer questions, trouble-shoot, strategize, and plan next steps. Unlimited email support between sessions. Price: $200 per week We recommend that before an author engages a marketing mentor, they invest in a marketing plan that will lay out goals and milestones. Authors may be accepted to the mentoring program without a marketing strategy on a case-by-case basis. |
