Congratulations go out to Chevy Stevens, whose debut suspense novel was just purchased by St. Martin's Press in a three-book deal negotiated by Mel Berger at William Morris. Still Missing juxtaposes what happens during and after a realtor's year-long abduction by a charming, vicious sociopath she thinks of as The Freak.
Renni Browne was the lead editor on the project with editorial support from Shannon Roberts, Peter Gelfan, and Ross Browne. Renni recommended the manuscript to Mel directly, promising him a fascinating villain, an irresistible heroine, and a diabolical mystery behind the mystery that resonates long after you read the final page.
Publication is scheduled for spring of 2010.
